Durban 2013

CLEA INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS’ CONFERENCE, 2013

CLEA has a long-standing history of holding biennial conferences that are both prestigious and informative, and the 2013 Conference was no different. It was held at the Howard College Campus of the University of KwaZulu-Natal in Durban, South Africa from 13-14 April.

Theme: Legal Education and Regional Cooperation in the Commonwealth and Other Common Law Countries

It enabled participants to share their experiences in, or future hopes for, regional cooperation in legal education in the Commonwealth and other Common law countries.

The conference was preceded by a three day safari to the world famous Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Game Reserve where the white rhinoceros was saved from extinction. In Durban, the recommended conference hotel was the famous retro-design, landmark hotel Blue Waters.

The papers accepted for presentation are now available to view online, along with the full conference programme and abstract for the keynote speaker Richard Nzerem who delivered the Commonwealth Lecture. Conference papers and other information can be viewed and searched here:
